This Privacy Policy describes how WELMA Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Aware Family website at aware.family. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

• We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the search tool.
• We do not store your search queries or search history on our servers.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties.
• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

3. Information That May Be Collected Automatically

When you visit Aware Family, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages). This may include:

• IP address — used for security purposes and to prevent abuse, not linked to your identity
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time of access
• Referring URL — the page you came from, if any

This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. It is used solely for operating the site securely and understanding general usage patterns.

4. How the Search Tool Works

When you use the search feature, your filter selections (city, age range, category, keyword) are sent to the Anthropic API to generate search results. These queries are processed in real time and are not stored by Aware Family. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle API requests.

5. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to add an event to Google Calendar, you will be connecting to your own Google account. This connection is made directly between your browser and Google's services. We do not access, store, or process your Google account information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information about how Google handles your data.

6. Third-Party Links

This site links to third-party event websites and organizer pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

7. Hosting and Infrastructure

Aware Family is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect technical data as part of providing hosting and security services. Please refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

8. Children's Privacy

Aware Family is a site about activities for children, but it is intended to be used by parents and guardians, not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Future Features — Email Communications

If we introduce an email newsletter or other subscription service in the future, we will collect your email address solely for that purpose, with your explicit consent. You will always be able to unsubscribe at any time. Any such feature will be covered by an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

10. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under Canadian federal privacy law, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request access to that information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for the use of your personal information (where applicable)

11. Data Retention

As we do not collect personal information through the use of the search tool, there is no personal data to retain or delete. Technical server logs maintained by Cloudflare are subject to their own retention policies.

We take reasonable precautions to protect the site from unauthorized access and maintain the security of any data passing through it. API keys are stored securely server-side and are never exposed to the browser.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
